Italy: Migrants rescued at sea sue rescuers for damages

Quote

A law firm has filed a suit in the Rome civil court against Italian Premier Giuseppe Conte and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini on behalf of 41 migrants who were rescued at sea and brought aboard the ship Diciotti…In the lawsuit, the migrants are asking for damages between 42,000 and 71,000 euros for having been forced to remain aboard the ship for several days.”

Reminder: that money would come out of the taxpayer purse.

The response from Salvini: “Allow me to respond with a big laugh.”

Salvini has received a barrage of criticism for his stand against the illegal entry of migrants from Libya. In June, Salvini refused to let a ship carrying 629 migrants to dock. Spain ended up taking them in after a standoff, and Salvini declared victory.

Salvini has clearly laid out his stance as it relates to the EU plan of continued open-door migration:

Philippines: Christians Slaughtered, Churches Bombed

On Sunday, January 27, extremist Muslims bombed a Catholic cathedral during Mass in the Philippines. At least 20 people were killed and 111 wounded.

At 8:45 am, two explosives were detonated about a minute apart in or near the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Jolo. According to the Associated Press:

“The initial explosion scattered the wooden pews inside the main hall and blasted window glass panels, and the second bomb hurled human remains and debris across a town square fronting the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, witnesses said.”

Photographs on social media showed human bodies and remains strewn on the street just outside the cathedral. Last heard, the officiating priest, Fr. Ricky Bacolcol, “was still in shock and could not speak about what happened,” said a colleague.

After the first bomb detonated, army troops and police posted outside the cathedral rushed in, at which point the second bomb went off. Fifteen of the slain were civilians, five were military men; 90 of the wounded were civilians.

Germany’s President congratulates Iran’s bloodthirsty Islamic regime on 40th anniversary of Islamic Revolution

Given the many genocidal statements that Iranian leaders have directed against Israel, it looks as if Frank-Walter Steinmeier would have fit in just fine with an earlier German regime of some notoreity.

“German president lauds Iran on revolution that seeks Israel’s destruction,” by Benjamin Weinthal, Jerusalem Post, February 21, 2019:

The president of Germany Frank Walter-Steinmeier sent a congratulatory telegram to Iran’s mullah regime in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic revolution in the name of federal republic’s citizens.

Germany’s largest paper Bild reported on Wednesday “On the 40th anniversary of that day, friendly greetings from Berlin arrived in Tehran by telegram: the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier (63), sends ‘Congratulations’ on the occasion of the national holiday, ‘also in the name of my compatriots.”‘

Hating Valentine’s

Quote

The following article is written by Jamie Glazov at Frontpagemag.com.

Today, February 14, is Valentine’s Day, the sacred day that intimate companions mark to celebrate their love and affection for one another. If you’re thinking about making a study of how couples celebrate this day in a positive and loving manner, the Muslim world and the milieus of the radical Left are not the places you should be spending your time. Indeed, it’s pretty hard to outdo Islamists and “progressives” when it comes to the hatred of Valentine’s Day. And this hatred is precisely the territory on which the contemporary romance between the Left and Islamic Supremacism is formed – as my book, United in Hate, documents.

The train is never late: as Deborah Weiss demonstrates, every year that Valentine’s comes around, the Muslim world erupts with ferocious rage, with its leaders doing everything in their power to suffocate the festivity that comes with the celebration of private romance. Imams around the world thunder against Valentine’s every year — and the celebration of the day itself is literally outlawed in Islamic states.

Jihadi’s mother says proudly that her son “was a butcher and knew how to slaughter,” calls him “the pride of Islam”

A culture that idolizes murder and loves death. Islamic jihadis frequently affirm how much they love death. Austrian Muslim teenage girls who several years ago traveled to Syria for jihad announced: “Death is our goal.” Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said: “I’m even longing for death, you vagabond.” A Muslim child preacher recently taunted those he has been taught to hate most: “Oh Zionists, we love death for the sake of Allah, just as much as you love life for the sake of Satan.” Jihad mass murderer Mohamed Merah said that he “loved death more than they loved life.”

Ayman al-Zawahiri’s wife advised Muslim women: “I advise you to raise your children in the cult of jihad and martyrdom and to instil in them a love for religion and death.” And as one jihadist put it, “We love death. You love your life!” And another: “The Americans love Pepsi-Cola, we love death.” That was from Afghan jihadist Maulana Inyadullah.

This idea comes from the Qur’an: Say, “O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful.” (62:6)

Emerson: Virginia Voters Need to Understand, Reject Sameerah Ibrahim’s Anti-Semitism

Quote

Mary Walter: Good morning. Joining us now, Steve Emerson. He’s the executive director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism. It’s a non-profit group that investigates the threat of radical Islam. Steve, good morning. Welcome to “Mornings on the Mall.”

Emerson: Good morning.

Walter: There is a special election today for the Virginia House of Delegates for the 86th District, which is a suburban area in Fairfax County, to fill a seat. Two people running for the seat are Ibraheem Samirah, who is a dentist, 27 years old. He’s the favorite in this race. He’s running against Greg Nelson, who is an Air Force veteran. And we’re finding out now that apparently there were some comments made by Dr. Samirah about five years ago that were very anti-Semitic, comparing giving money to Israel worse than donating to the KKK; also saying that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon would burn in hell; Israeli teenagers were using Tinder to cover up the murders in their names. Very anti-Semitic statements. Is this going to affect him at all though?

Emerson: I don’t know whether it will affect him but I think it should affect him because the comments are undeniably anti-Semitic. Now he has said he has apologized for those comments, but he’s also said that they were taken out of context and that they were part of a slander campaign. Both of those latter allegations are demonstrably false. None of them were taken out of context and to the extent that he says that he’s only mitigating his apology. He also has supported two groups that are very anti-Israel in their positions. One group has supported a radical Islamic terrorist who was convicted in the killing of two Jews in a bombing in Israel several decades ago. Another group supports the movement called BDS – boycott, divestment – that is designed to strangle the economy of Israel. He has not disavowed his support for those two groups. So all in all his total position is a virulently anti-Israeli position, and more than that I would say anti-Semitic. To the extent that people vote for him they should be aware of those positions.

Shamima Begum, Who Joined the Islamic State, Has “No Regrets” But Wants to Come Home (Part 2)

Social services would also certainly step in to consider whether her child should be removed to protect him or her from radicalisation.

In an interview with the Times, Ms Begum, who married an IS fighter, showed little remorse for her involvement with the terror group and said she was not fazed by seeing “beheaded heads” in bins.

“I’m not the same silly little 15-year-old schoolgirl who ran away from Bethnal Green four years ago,” she said.

No, four years later, she’s not “that same silly little 15-year-old schoolgirl,” but a silly little and morally moronic 19-year-old adult who saw the Islamic State from within for four years, and apparently did not object to anything she experienced. She was not fazed by the decapitations she witnessed, nor by the heads piled high in bins. She summed up her four years with ISIS:

“I don’t regret coming here.”

However, she said that after the “shock” of losing two children to illness while living in Syria, she was scared her unborn baby would also die if she stayed in the refugee camp to which she fled last month.
