Rouhani: Iran wants “friendly relations with whole world,” even US if it “accepts greatness of Islamic Revolution”

“Our slogan is friendly relations with the whole world,” including “America, if it repents…and apologizes for its previous interferences in Iran, and is prepared to accept the greatness and dignity of the nation of Iran and the great Islamic Revolution.”

“Friendly relations with the whole world”? Remember: this man is part of a regime that orders its people to chant “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” in mosques every Friday.

“Rouhani: Iran ready to accept friendly US ties if it ‘repents,’” AFP, February 7, 2019:

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday his country would be ready to establish “friendly relations” with the United States if it apologized for past wrongs.

Please send me, as a comment to this page, any old material you have for inclusion in The Daily Joke Alert - to help enable us all to have our fancy tickled regularly! Never mind the state it's in as I tidy everything up prior to publication. Don't let good material go to waste - and so much does. In the interests of the environment we should always try to re-cycle everything, especially jokes. You know that makes sense! You may find some historical stuff here, but this does not really matter as humor is fairly timeless.
