Turkey’s Religious Affairs top dog decries “anti-Islamic discourses” that “threaten the multiculturalism of Europe”

“The recent increase in racial movements and anti-Islamic discourses and actions in Europe threaten the multiculturalism of Europe, the culture of living together, peace and tranquility,” said the leaned Erbaş.

He didn’t say anything about multiculturalism in Turkey, which has practiced ruthless ethnic cleansing of religious and ethnic minorities for over 100 years, nearly effacing that nation’s 2,000-year-old Christian presence.

Ali Erbaş also said: “Islam is a religion of peace.” Oh yes he did. He and his fellow propagandists have to keep repeating this, because it is so contrary to fact and to the evidence of the daily headlines. If Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance, harmony and brotherhood, it has been misunderstood by mainstream Islamic authorities throughout the history of the religion. In my new book The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS, I trace the 1,400-year war of Islamic jihadis against the rest of the world, detailing the jihad against Europe, including the 700-year struggle to conquer Constantinople; the jihad in Spain, where non-Muslims fought for another 700 years to get the jihadi invaders out of the country; and the jihad against India, where Muslim warriors and conquerors wrought unparalleled and unfathomable devastation in the name of their religion. Order it here now.

Please send me, as a comment to this page, any old material you have for inclusion in The Daily Joke Alert - to help enable us all to have our fancy tickled regularly! Never mind the state it's in as I tidy everything up prior to publication. Don't let good material go to waste - and so much does. In the interests of the environment we should always try to re-cycle everything, especially jokes. You know that makes sense! You may find some historical stuff here, but this does not really matter as humor is fairly timeless.
