Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, delivered a hard hitting speech to Tuesday’s meeting of the Security Council on the Middle East, questioning the fundamental commitment of Arab states to securing progress for the Palestinians.
Haley, unlike other Western leaders, is calling out the propaganda spread by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and accepted by the UN Security Council, which routinely slams Israel while expecting no accountability from the Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas, Fatah and the OIC itself. Instead of helping their Palestinian brothers and sisters, Hamas using them as human shields, while the PA pays money to the families of jihad terrorists.
Haley identified a well-used Islamic supremacist tactic: polite and seemingly intellectual loquaciousness to cause distractions and filibustering:
“No group of countries is more generous with their words than the Palestinians’ Arab neighbors, and other OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) member states,” Haley told the Security Council. “But all of the words spoken here in New York do not feed, clothe, or educate a single Palestinian child. All they do is get the international community riled up.”
Kudos to Haley. And while these Muslim leaders rile up the international community, it is Western taxpayers who are pouring money into the Palestinian territories, with an unknown amount going toward inciting jihad terror against Israel. Haley also highlighted the 2017 figures on the financial support given to UNRWA of various Muslim countries as compared to the United States, which gave, of course, substantially more money.
Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, emphasized that “the time has come for the Security Council to recognize that Hamas is no different from al-Qaeda or ISIS. The Security Council must recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization.” Such recognition will likely never come, given that jihad appeasement is ever present in the UN and, in fact, worldwide.
