Shia Islam is not as well understood to many in the Western World and even Islam is greatly unknown or misunderstood. Islam has a completely separate value system to that of the Judeo-Christian Western World. Islam places a higher priority on the afterlife and portends that the life here amongst the living is supposed to be miserable and hardening of the senses while all pleasure awaits the holy who are obedient in the afterlife. It is part of this philosophy from which the concept of the martyr receiving seventy-two raven haired perpetual virgins in the hereafter. These virgins regain their virginity immediately after the martyr having taken them while additionally his lands have lush green meadows with rivers and waterfalls and the wine flows in near torrents and all the food one could ever imagine becomes available.
