Beyond the Cusp

The Great American Nakba just commemorated its sweet sixteen remembrances. The majority of Americans this past week commemorated the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. But South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and probably a few dozen other Muslim rights groups and who knows how many Mosques, waited for the next day, September 12th, the day they claim the entirety of Americans turned on them for something they did not do, had no control over and rejected completely leading to innumerable hate crimes over the last sixteen years making their lives miserable and degrading them to second class citizens. We have to admit there has been an increase in crimes committed against Muslims which have been denoted as “hate crimes” starting the day after the World Trade Center attacks (see graph below).
