Five-year-old died of asthma attack after being turned away by GP for being a few minutes late

A girl of five died of an asthma attack after being turned away by a GP because she arrived a few minutes late for her appointment.

Ellie-May Clark and her mum Shanice, 25, from Newport , were told to return the next morning by Dr Joanne Rowe, a specialist in safeguarding children.

But the little girl died five hours after Dr Rowe reportedly shouted at a receptionist: “No I’m not seeing her, she’s late”.

The little girl’s family say the doctor should be struck off the GP register.

Dr Rowe, 53, was let off with a warning by the General Medical Council and has moved to another practice where patients are understood to be unaware of the fatal mistake.

Please send me, as a comment to this page, any old material you have for inclusion in The Daily Joke Alert - to help enable us all to have our fancy tickled regularly! Never mind the state it's in as I tidy everything up prior to publication. Don't let good material go to waste - and so much does. In the interests of the environment we should always try to re-cycle everything, especially jokes. You know that makes sense! You may find some historical stuff here, but this does not really matter as humor is fairly timeless.
