High in the Italian alps, within the famous mountain range called the Dolomites, separating the Funes valley from the Gardena valley, sit the breathtaking Odle mountains.
The Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in August 2009, and have been called some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes found anywhere in the world with its sheer cliffs, vertical walls and deep valleys.
One writer descriptively called the mountains, “flames frozen in stone.”
Walking the Dolomites is a unique experience in and of itself, as you get a 360-degree view of rocks that have been transformed over thousands of years.
There are a number of different trails, from the easy, well-graded paths to the more challenging ones. They cater to hikers of all abilities.

After the Jordanians took control of not only much of Judea and Samaria but also the entirety of the Old City of Jerusalem, they enforced Islamic dominance by destroying the ancient Synagogues throughout Jerusalem and the entirety of their occupied territories, land occupied from rightful Israel. Since Israel liberated these lands resulting from their gains during their defensive war resulting from the Arab threats to drive the Jews into the sea (Mediterranean Sea) in June of 1967, they have been slowly restoring the Synagogues as funds became available. The latest incident of Islamic outrage flourished with the instigating cry that the Jews are building Synagogues to surround the Temple Mount such that their actions using these Synagogues will destroy the al-Aqsa Mosque. A couple of decades ago, Sweden had a strong military. Its air force was one of the capable in the world, its navy had dozens of ships and submarines, and artillery guarded the coastlines from a multitude of secret mountain hideaways.
Now, after a number of fatal decisions, based on the belief that wars in Europe were a thing of the past, most of its military is gone and Sweden has virtually no means of protecting itself.
According to Sweden’s Supreme Commander Sverker Göransson, we can, at best and in five years, defend ourselves in one place for one week.
