Confusion (Listen while you read)
We all suffer from confusion from time to time; do we not my dear friends?
Indeed, confusion can cause us much great alarm; for its purpose is to cause us to go around and around in circles.
Hahaaa, this it does. It causes us to stir around and around; like a spoon in a teacup.
I don’t particularly like feeling this ‘spoon in a teacup’ experience; and I doubt that you do too.
Therefore, we have a problem; a problem that needs a solution.
Has anyone a solution to this problem? If yes, pray tell us your solution.
In the meantime, I shall offer a solution.
Firstly; let go of the spoon. Yes my friends; let go of the spoon. Stop stirring; that’s right. In order to ‘stop the circling around and around’ we firstly need to stop stirring. That’s right. When we…

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him,
“Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot airballoon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet abovesea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
“She rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Democrat.”
“I am, “replied the man.” “How did you know?”
“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technicallycorrect. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’mstill lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.”
The man smiled…

A pro-Palestinian lady just tweeted as follows: ‘The 6 year old girl tht lost her father, brother, her legs & her face is 1 among 9000 injured! dnt undristimte word injured!’
Check it out for the weight of rope pulling the heart-strings there: infant, female, father, brother, amputation, face blown away. Check it out for illogicality: 1 appalling injury among 9,000 means all the injuries are being understated.
Now read this outraged tweet from a pro-Palestinian bloke slightly earlier: ‘Grotesque! Elie Weisel accuses Hamas of “child sacrifice”!’
Check it out for a hypocritical inability to accept that Hamas could ever use kids as a protective shield. Google ‘Hamas and child shields’: 9.9 million sites across the spectrum of news coverage from Huffpost to DAG. Note the use of an exclamation mark to suggest incredibility.
Now refer back to the Slogpost of July 24th for incontrovertible proof of pro-Palestinian propaganda mendacity. Check…

As the students enjoyed the promised two restful days on the beaches, David and I headed down to explore the Portuguese footprint in India, mostly the churches. Now we have seen many churches all over Europe, and are not easily impressed. These churches are impressive, and this one the most spectacular. The Portuguese are some of the most devout Catholic Christians today and their churches constructed hundreds of years ago, suggest, they have always been religious. This is St Francis Xavier’s church of the Bascillica of Bom Jesus. It is one of the major Baroque churches in India and was completed in 1602. The image is from Wikipedia.
The alter image is from Britannica.com. This church is now on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
This massive tree stands guard at the entrance. I couldn’t but wonder if it had been there from the beginning….four hundred and eleven years.
On the drive to Mount Mary church, we…
