The Slog

accesdeniedPTNETCensorship, media surveillance, ubiquitous cameras, and the public denial of its relentless encroachment upon our freedom to be left alone

Elephant Race at Guruvayoor Temple

Yesterday, I saw this elephant race on the news. . . .yes in the United States. Everyone  loves these giant animals!  This video was filmed a couple of years ago as this year’s race hasn’t been posted yet.  I really appreciated the quality of this video, the shots of the tourists, and Indians, the city, in Kerala, south India, the temple entrance, and of course the elephants.  The excitement, anticipation, and joy in such simple pleasures. . . . .  are all just so India!

Have to say that those skinny Indian men  must have some  sore bottoms today. We rode on sauntering elephants and it was very  rough and uncomfortable and they are riding bareback!

This Is Incredible India!

Within days, the Israeli Navy intercepted a ship. the Klos-C, that contained rockets with a range up to 160 kilometers. It had left Iran loaded with 181 M-302 rockets intended for use by Hamas, the terrorists who control the Gaza. It also had 400,000 rounds of 7.62 ammunition. Does anyone think that either Iran or the Palestinians want anything less than Israel’s destruction?

At some point, interest in the Middle East will reassert…
