BREAKING….Ed Balls’s 2020 Vision

The Slog

ballshockfinalEd Balls is about to make a speech to the Fabian Society, and we are reliably informed it will say these among other things:

“The next Labour government will balance the books and deliver a surplus on the current budget, and falling national debt, in the next parliament….where this government has failed, we will finish the job. We will abolish the discredited idea of rolling five-year targets and legislate for our tough fiscal rules within 12 months of the general election…We will get the current budget into surplus as soon as possible in the next Parliament. How fast we can go will depend on the state of the economy and public finances we inherit.”

Um, I’ve heard this speech before somewhere. Also, I seem to remember that, every time a Labour politician makes it (a) those at the bottom get left out, and (b) it works for a while and…

Seven Kinds Of Sex

1Research shows that there are 7 kinds of sex.

The 1st kind of sex is called: Smurf Sex. * This kind of sex happens when you first meet someone, and you have sex until you are blue in the face.

The 2nd kind of sex is called: Kitchen Sex. * This is when you have been with your partner for a short time, and you are so needy you will have sex anywhere, even in the kitchen.

The 3rd kind of sex is called: Bedroom Sex. * This is when you have been with your partner for a long time. You still have sex – occasionally – and if you do, you only have it in your bedroom.

The 4th kind of sex is called: Hallway Sex * This is when you have been with your partner for too long. When you pass each other in the hallway you both say ‘F you’.

The 5th kind of sex is called: Religious Sex. * Which means you get Nun in the morning, Nun in the afternoon and Nun at night. (Very Popular)

The 6th kind is called Courtroom Sex. * This is when you cannot stand your wife/husband any more. He/she takes you to court and screws you in front of everyone.

And last, but not least…

The 7th kind of sex is called: Pension Sex. * You get a little each month, but not enough to enjoy yourself.

Troubling Clouds on the Israeli Horizon

Troubling Clouds on the Israeli Horizon

While there are some who will look upon the recent statements by a small but sufficient sized group from the party of Prime Minister Netanyahu, Likud, that they are prepared to resign from the coalition should Netanyahu make land concessions to the Palestinian Authority. Their position has also been adopted by the leadership of the Jewish Home Party and has been stated by Naftali Bennett numerous times as the peace negotiations continue under increasing pressure from United States Secretary of State Kerry and his team. Normally such threats would be sufficient to put an end to any chance of surrendering lands to the Palestinians except in the case where a final agreement had been reached and a formal treaty which also meets the requirements for Israeli security are addressed and included. Should a final agreement be reached which includes Israeli retention of the…

The Endangered Animal Act Of Futility

PA Pundits - International

caruba_alan20080111By Alan Caruba ~AA - Deer

David W. Snook, 57, of Bridgewater, New Jersey died on Wednesday, January 15, when two deer leaped into the path of his Dodge Ram on Route 206. One of them was airborne when it smashed through the front windshield, striking him before exiting out the rear window. This caused the truck to veer into the guard rail and come to rest in a ravine.

In 2012, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection estimated that the Garden State was home to 110,000 deer. Each year about 35,000 are killed in hunts and those of us who live here owe the hunters a debt of gratitude. In my county of Essex, home to Newark, the freeholders regularly hire hunters to cull the herd that shares its home with one of the most densely populated counties in the state.

Need it be said that the animal rights crowd…

Three Years of Female Struggle

Egyptian Streets

By Nora P. Knobloch, contributor,
Is there any reason to celebrate the third anniversary of the Egyptian revolution? It is important to ask: what, in human rights, society, or politics, progressed and what has regressed?

It is crucial to observe the complexities in the political struggles that Egypt has witnessed over the past three years. It is also crucial to not become silent that the rights of Egyptian women are continuously ignored.

Two months ago, Egypt was labeled the “worst Arab country for women” in a (study of the Thomson Reuters Foundation. According to the report, public places increasingly became a commonplace of sexual violence and abuse, especially during the last three years. Another report by the UN declared that more than 99 percent of the female Egyptian population has experienced sexual harassment.

Thus it is important to ask, in relation to the female populace: Where did the progression…

Indian Mothers-in-law

Just trying to be helpful, but wondered if you had tried to use the ‘Paste On Plain Text’ option when ‘Adding A New Post’ – (the suitcase with a ‘T’, next to the suitcase with a ‘W’ on the Toolbar). I found it helps with fixing paragraphs.

Curse of the mummyji

Dec 21st 2013 | DELHI |

TIHAR jail in Delhi has a special wing just for her. Young women fear and revere her; their husbands seem crushed by her embrace. On television she is a sari-clad battle-axe. Books about her offer advice including: “Run, she is trying to kill you.”
If you think the fearsome reputation of the Indian saas is exaggerated, glance at online discussion threads such as “I have a mother-in-law from hell”. Tales abound of humiliation, intrusion, even death threats, amid battles over who controls family life. Or watch what was formerly India’s most popular soap opera, the clunky title of which doubled as a plot summary: “Because the mother-in-law was once a daughter-in-law too” (“Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu
“The longest-running, biggest grossing serial in India”, as Smriti Irani, its star, describes it, focused on how a…
