United States Secretary of State John Kerry returned to Jordan for meetings with Arab League representatives and Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas aiming for a restart of the Peace Process. Initial reports depicted a scene where Secretary Kerry was making sufficiently good progress working with both groups that he sent a feeler challenging Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to give serious consideration for the Arab Peace Plan (aka the Saudi Initiative). Secretary Kerry said Allen is “working with our team and with the Defense Department and with the Israeli forces” and then plans to meet Palestinian Authority offices in the West Bank “to make evaluations on a professional military basis about the nature of threats.” A Palestinian Authority official, who requested anonymity, told AFP that things were moving and Kerry is “determined” to announce a resumption of talks before leaving by the end of the week. Secretary Kerry also suggested that…

There’s not much I like about President Obama’s policies, but I am beginning to think that his resolve to militarily withdraw the U.S. from the Middle East is likely based on his insights into the Islamic mind.
The last U.S. troops left Iraq in 2011 and they are scheduled to leave Afghanistan in 2014. The President has been reluctant to send arms to the insurgents fighting Syria’s regime on the grounds that they are likely al Qaeda or similar jihadist groups. Makes sense to me.
Using drones to target al Qaeda leaders wherever they can be found, Pakistan or Yemen for example, also seems a sensible application of limited force applied with extreme prejudice.
During the course of the nearly nine years the U.S. was involved in Iraq, the U.S. lost almost 4,500 troops there while the cost of Iraqi lives during that period is estimated…

On July 31st, Zimbabwe is due to hold its first presidential election in six years. It will be the first since the chaotic 2008 election and the first under the country’s new constitution. In theory, voters should have a chance to remove their 89-year-old leader, Robert Mugabe, who was once a respected anti-colonial guerrilla who has devolved into a despot during his 33 years at the top of Zimbabwean politics.
In practice, it’s not that simple. Many expect Mugabe to delay, cancel, or rig the vote. Even if Mugabe loses, many fear violence.
Amid this uncertainty, something strange has happened. For the last few months, someone calling themselves “Baba Jukwa” has been posting damaging leaks from Mugabe’s Zanu PF party on a Facebook page. No one knows who Baba Jukwa is (the name means “father of…

Question for the Coalition: when exactly did privatisation ever reduce the level of moral hazard?
Infecting the lifeblood of the Nation having thus far sailed silently through the UK media pack, we’re onto the next stop on the Ghost Train line to Hell: this same government in denial about a minority global species paedophile problem is planning to allow outsourcing firms to bid for contracts to manage social services for vulnerable children in England – while dropping laws allowing the removal of companies that fail to do the job properly.
Waydergo. This is Dan Hannan’s infantile “Regulation failed to detect psychos so let’s stop all regulation” shtick made mad: “Even well-meaning State services attract preying perverts via the back door….so let’s leave the front door open”.
A number of firms have expressed an interest in proposals that would allow them to bid for contracts managing foster care and providing…

Bottled water in your car is very dangerous!
breast cancer. It has been identified as the most common cause
of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue..
Sheryl Crow’s oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled
water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals
in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water.
Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. So please
be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.
Pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind
we need to know that just might save us! Use a stainless steel canteen
or a glass bottle instead of plastic!
This information is also being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical
Center … No plastic containers in microwaves. No plastic water
bottles in freezers. No plastic wrap in microwaves.
Dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to cells in our bodies. Don’t freeze plastic bottles with water
in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently the Wellness
Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain
this health hazard.
He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we
should not be heating food in the microwave using plastic containers…..
This especially applies to foods that contain fat.
He said that the combination of fat, high heat and plastic releases dioxin
into the food.
Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Pyrex or ceramiccontainers
for heating food… You get the same result, but without the dioxin.. So,
such things as TV dinners, instant soups, etc., should be removed from
their containers and heated in something else.
Paper isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s safer to
use tempered glass, such as Pyrex, etc.
He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants
moved away from the styrene foam containers to paper. The dioxin
problem is one of the reasons….
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Cling film, is just as
dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave.
As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually
melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with
a paper towel instead.
This is an article that should be share to anyone important in your life!
Just be careful!!!
