The cancerous potential of OSFAR
We have a problem in the Western world, and it’s called the One Size Fits All Response (OSFAR). If I may, I’d like to start with an example which some will find unpleasant; but an unpleasant feeling is what OSFAR gives to fairly sane people. It involves the business of men exposing their genitals in public.
I was on a London tube riding from Chiswick to Oxford Circus six or seven years ago. It was a gorgeous hot summer’s day just before noon, and everyone was dressed in teeshirts and shorts, light blouses and linen lightweight dresses – that sort of thing. Across the corridor from me, an older guy was sitting chatting to his female friend about something in the Evening Standard, one of the major London papers. The bloke was oblivious to the fact that, beneath his rather battered Nike shorts, his…

When the Assad regime recently took control of the road between Daraa and the Jordanian border from the FSA the Jordanians offered to supply ammunition to the FSA ( Free Syria Army) The problem was that when they, the FSA, tested the ammo it was mixed with tracer bullets, the type that leave a streak of light when you fire them. A great way to give away your position to the other side, basically they were betrayed. Behind all of this is a defected Colonel from the Syrian regime, Achmed al Namah, he is the leader of the so called ‘Military Council’, which is based in Amman, Jordan. The only thing is, he has no interest in anyone but himself and is actively working with Jordan to weaken as much as possible the FSA for his benefit, Jordan is also using him to their benefit. It was he, through Jordan…

Yesterday, in a savage terror attack, a British soldier (named Lee Rigby) was hacked to death in Woolwich, south-east London, by two men – including one British-born man who has been identified as 29-year-old Michael Olumide Adebolajo.
An otherwise interesting May 23 Guardian reporton the alleged radicalization of the suspect, who is reportedly a convert to Islam, included a staggering understatement about the Islamist preacher who may have influenced his path to extremism.
Here are the relevant passages:
Counter-terrorism officers and the security services are examining Adebolajo’s links to the banned extremist group al-Muhajiroun. It is understood he was radicalised around 10 years ago, changing his name to Mujaahid, which means “one who engages in jihad”.
Friends at his school said they knew nothing of his conversion to Islam.
The Guardian understands that both Adebolajo and the other suspect have featured in counter-terrorism investigations over the last eight years, the Guardian…

There is an old theory which some news hounds swear by that states that the United States future can be told by looking to Europe. It goes on to explain reasons why mainland Europe is about a decade ahead while England, London in particular, is merely five years or even a slim three years ahead; so whatever one sees on that side of the pond will be coming to the other side of the pond after a slight delay. The importance of this dusty old theory is very important after what was witnessed in broad daylight on the streets of London this past week, the beheading of an English subject, a British soldier named Drummer Lee Rigby, in broad daylight in front of witnesses who watched apparently helpless or too scared to do anything about what they were observing. This event takes on an even more eerie and foreboding spirit…

Last week we wrote about the BBC Radio Ulster ‘Sunday Sequence’ programme of May 19th 2013 in which Mairead Maguire was given free rein to promote Assad regime propaganda and antisemitic tropes.
At least one member of the public who wrote to presenter William Crawley following that broadcast was told by him that ‘balance’ to that particular interview would come in the form of another one with Professor Richard Landes a week later on May 26th and in his introduction to that interview, Crawley makes the same claim.
“You’ll remember last week we interviewed the Nobel Peace Prize winner Mairead Maguire regarding in particular Syria, but also wider issues in the Middle East. During that interview she spoke about the alleged role of Israel, blaming it and its supporters for contributing to a great deal of the strife in the region. We said we’d focus this week on…

Jut a quick news flash form the studio as I wait for the paint to set up so I can continue on with today’s adventure.
Here is where we started today:
Now this doesn’t have a layer of varnish yet which I will apply next to lock the the color pattern and depth also it with double the vibrancy of the darks and lights creating an even more intense separation from the dark purple, reds and yellows. Also it will lock in the small amount of green that the eye perceives since the purple mixture had some blue intentionally mixed in with it.
Here are some close ups so you can get a better feel of this piece as the iPhone has a real issue with large amount of red.
