Tories should be in no doubt: tomorrow’s Leveson vote is payback time for the Left

Current estimates say about 20 Conservative MPs are contemplating voting with Labour and Lib Dems to force statutory regulation of the press. There is evidently enough manoeuvring still to suggest that the outcome tomorrow night is too close to call. But the expectation remains that David Cameron will lose, or specifically be unable to block the Leveson amendments cooked up by this Lib-Lab coalition of convenience (btw, the various amendments being considered, far from being simple tweaks, run to 30-odd pages – there’s nothing simple about legislating against a free press). What should Tories consider when they ponder how to vote?

Please send me, as a comment to this page, any old material you have for inclusion in The Daily Joke Alert - to help enable us all to have our fancy tickled regularly! Never mind the state it's in as I tidy everything up prior to publication. Don't let good material go to waste - and so much does. In the interests of the environment we should always try to re-cycle everything, especially jokes. You know that makes sense! You may find some historical stuff here, but this does not really matter as humor is fairly timeless.
