The small town of Thargomindah is right out there in the Outback, as you can see on the map of Queensland. The town is around 700 miles due West of the State Capital Brisbane. It has a population of around 250 people. The town itself is on the banks of the Bulloo River, and it is an area known as The Channel Country, and you can only appreciate why they call it the Channel Country when you fly over it.
