The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

Ever wonder how they did the music for The Good, the Bad & the Ugly? Unquestionably the best western ever made.

It is so cool to see how it was made after all these years.

For those still caught in the ’60s groove — this is the answer to how that magnificent theme tune came about…wait till the guy whistles!!!

THE UKULELE ORCHESTRA OF GREAT BRITAIN

Melissa Venema playing TAPS on the trumpet

Amazingly beautiful!

Melissa Venema, age 13, is the trumpet soloist.

Here is Taps played in its entirety. The Original version of Taps was called Last Post, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801. It was rather lengthyand formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named Taps.

Melissa Venema is playing it on a trumpet, the original was played on a bugle.
